Through partnerships with schools, we deliver lively hands-on workshops for pupils of all ages. All workshops cover key areas of the national curriculum criteria for Science and Citizenship Education. Detailed lesson plans and a breakdown of learning outcomes are available on request, and we work collaboratively with teachers to ensure sessions meet pupil needs.

Education advice and visual learning aids from Helen Jukes.

Wherever possible, we aim to nurture long-term relationships with our partner schools, working with staff and students to make the school itself a community capable of creating and sustaining thriving bee-friendly habitats for the future.

We also run workshops from our Beemobile, a converted vintage caravan and mobile participatory educational resource, which we take to events and festivals.

We offer:

A half-day workshop covering flowers and pollination, led by professional educators and experienced beekeepers.

A day-long visit with an Observation Hive, which can be tailored to your needs and involve people of all ages.

‘We had a fantastic visit from the team at the Bee Friendly Trust – there was a real buzz around the place! A fun, informative way to bring bees to your school and your classroom – highly recommend for children of all ages.’
