Announcing our first Bee Friendly Trust Photo Competition!
Over the last few years we’ve received some bee-autiful pictures from train passengers and station staff of wildlife they’ve spotted on our bee-friendly planters. It’s prompted us to hold our first Photo Competition. Between now and 1st September 2018, we’re inviting you to send us your pictures of bees and other creatures enjoying our bee-friendly blooms.
You can submit as many photos as you like, of whichever species you happen to see – we only ask that the photos you take are of creatures spotted in our bee-friendly planters, wildlife gardens, or heritage fruit orchards. So, keep your eyes peeled!
Email your submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org or post them to Instagram @bee_friendly_trust using the hashtag #beefriendlyblooms. Do tell us where your sighting was made – we’re interested to know which station platforms are buzzing the loudest this year.
The winner will be announced in our September newsletter, and will receive a special bee-friendly gift.
The Beemobile is hitting the road
Come and say hello, and find out more about what we do, as we take our beloved Beemobile nationwide and attend a number of fantastic events this summer:
Chelsea Fringe Festival: 25 May
Cheltenham Science Festival: 5-10 June
The Hidden River Festival: 15 September
Bee Friendly Trust Volunteer Day: NEW DATE TBC
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have sadly had to postpone this event from Saturday, 25th August. Details of a new date, to come.
Meet the team and find out the many ways in which you can get involved with the Trust from tin shaking to gardening to running hands-on workshops. We’ll be with our Beemobile at our Coram’s Fields, London HQ and will be offering honey tastings, trips to our on-site bee hives and more.
We look forward to meeting you!
