Okay, so we’re not suggesting you do anything that might get yourself in trouble but imagine what the pavements of your town might look like if you scattered some wildflower seed mix within the cracks…
Or if you sowed sunflower seeds in neglected plant pots outside your local supermarket…
Or what about those bland grassy areas in car parks? Think of the pollinators they could support, if that grass was covered with mint, borage or creeping thyme…
And those banks at bus shelters or alongside cycleways and footpaths. Discretely plant some spring bulbs on them and think of the colour (and forage) that will pop up year after year…
Think outside the box and everyone – not just pollinators – might benefit.
