We worked with the Poacher Line Community Rail Partnership, East Midlands Trains, Bottesford Parish Council and Lincolnshire County Council to transform an old stationmaster’s shed and an area of overgrown and neglected land into a sensory wildlife garden, for residents and commuters – and pollinators – to use and enjoy.

The garden, opened in June 2019, was part funded by Grow Wild and received the Community Rail Award for Most Enhanced Station Buildings and Surroundings in October 2019.

The shed is now an educational centre, there is a pond full of amphibians, a greenhouse, and a committed community group to do the gardening.
