We’re bringing the joy of bees to an event near you
If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity to meet the Bee Friendly Trust team, to find out more about our work or to ask us your bee-related questions, now’s the time for you.
With the bee season in full swing, what better moment than now for us to bring the joy of bees to a site near you.
This year, we’re excited to be launching our new BeeDome, an educational space designed to let you step inside a hive and find out more about how they actually work.
Did you know it takes 10 million foraging trips to fill a single jar of honey, for example? Or that bees can’t see the colour red?
Discover more fascinating facts about bees from our knowledgeable and enthusiastic team – whether you’re interested in beekeeping, creating a bee-friendly garden or simply want to learn about bees.
In addition, we will be offering a number of activities, including honey tastings, face painting and crafts for all the family.
And, for the shoppers amongst you, we will be showcasing our collection of bee-themed products, with profits from every sale going towards our work. Some of the items for sale are:
• Beehive weave blankets
• Honey and oat handmade soap bars
• Beeswax food wrap
• Gardener’s hives
• Knitted bees
So come meet the Bee Friendly Trust and help us reverse the worrying decline of bee numbers in Britain.
