We were thrilled with the applications for this year’s Bee Friendly Awards, now in their second year.
So thrilled, in fact, that we awarded eight communities, towns and groups with Bee Friendly status, based on the hard work they’ve been doing transforming neglected spaces into bee havens.
From planting up rows of unwanted wellington boots to sowing banks around carparks with native wildflowers; and hosting a wealth of community-focused, bee-themed events, we’re pleased to see even more people around the UK doing their bit for the nation’s pollinators.
The winners of this year’s Bee Friendly Awards are:
Boyton Place, Suffolk
Elmstead Woods Station Garden Club, Kent
Frome, Somerset
Haydon Bridge, Northumberland
Ingatestone Station, Essex
Thames Ditton, Surrey
Shenstone Parish, Staffordshire
Wivenhoe, Essex
