A huge pop up garden on an abandoned platform at Barbican station, had itself been abandoned.

We came in and cleared away broken planters, removed rogue buddleia, refashioned the remaining thirty planters into clusters interspersed with some old terracotta pots that we found elsewhere on the station.

We have planted up with rosemary and grasses so that the new garden can survive with minimal maintenance as access to the platform is so restricted.

In the coming months we will work with City Gardens to extend the planting and perhaps create a wildflower meadow on the abandoned tracks, plus work on a Learning Garden on the rest of the platform with herbs and foodstuffs grown for the local community.
