Meet BFT team member Sid Sharpe, who has recently been featured on BBC news for his role in our homes for nature initiative with Govia Thameslink Railway.
We’ve been working with GTR on a project to create 100 homes for nature across its rail network, which includes stations in East Sussex, Surrey, London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.
Sid and the BFT team have been busy installing bird boxes, our much-loved stripy bee hotels, and hibernacula at stations.
Over the coming months, we’ll be looking to increase the number of homes for nature to 200 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the modern railway.
