Over the Summer Solstice weekend (21–22 June 2025), we hosted two glorious days of creativity, community and connection with nature.
Families, artists, and visitors of all ages gathered in the 30-hectare nature reserve of Samphire Hoe, to take part in a packed programme of artist-led workshops, performances, and hands-on activities.
Interactive artworks emerged across the site – a giant bee sculpture built from beach pebbles and a collaborative fabric mural – and visitors left with their own painted sticks. On the final day, a lively procession wound its way around the cliffs and paths, uniting everyone in a shared moment of celebration.
We were honoured to welcome a diverse group of artists, including Niamh Jones, British Events, Steve Chapman, Jo Wood, Justine Rogers, Beth Baylis, Carina Graham, Samphire Steve, Sarah Ainslie, Mark Carberry, Bláth Ní Mhurchú, Isabelle Laight, Haru Apa Nyx, Nicolás Dumit Estévez Raful Espejo Ovalles Morel, and the Royal College of Art.
All reminded us of the deep connections between ecology and creativity.
With special thanks to the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership for allowing this event to happen.
