The unique planter at Walton-on-the-Naze combines two of our loves – bee-friendly planting and artwork.

When installed, we worked with the community to create a backdrop of poems and pyrographics. The hexagonal tokens, made by Tendring Writers Group, run by Faye Raithe, Shorefields School, Clacton Coastal Academy, and The Colchester Refugee, Asylum Seekers and Migrants Network (RAMA), through workshops hosted by Eleanor Brown at The Nose, have since been placed on display elsewhere at the station.

In their place, is this lovely mural by Jane Stewart.

Station adopters are looking after the planter, which was installed in April 2024.
