The platforms are very narrow at Canons Park Underground Station in London, but we were able to squeeze in two slimline planters, one on each side. Thanks to Transport for London.

We joined forces with Great Northern Rail to create this unique creature feature and bug hotel at Gordon Hill Railway Station in London. Featuring old parquet flooring from the station plus a forgotten artwork salvaged from Barbican Railway Station, also in London, it’s proof that anything can be transformed into a welcome home for wildlife.

After discussions with local residents, we are building two Mediterranean beds on two tired patched of grass outside the station. Olive trees, rosemary and lavender make up the planting.

A huge pop up garden on an abandoned platform at Barbican station, had itself been abandoned. We came in and cleared away broken planters, removed rogue buddleia, refashioned the remaining thirty planters into clusters interspersed with some old terracotta pots that we found elsewhere on the station. London Overground gave us funds to create a dry garden and a wildlife area at Upper Holloway Railway Station in spring 2023.

Northfields Station was designed by Charles Holden and opened in 1932. It is Grade II listed, including the original planters on the forecourt and platforms. Sadly neglected, the planters have been revived by the Trust and we hope to work with station staff and travellers to keep them looking as good as the rest of …

In June 2022 – and just in time for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships – we installed this wonderful floral planter at Wimbledon Park Railway Station in London. Filled with pollinator-friendly plants, including rosemary and salvias, the planter was made possible thanks to Transport for London and donations from Bloom & Wild.

Ten years ago station staff created a magical secret garden at High Barnet. In recent years it became neglected and forgotten. Our team went in to rediscover it. Hacking through dense undergrowth, like characters in a Grimms’ fairy tale, they uncovered wooden sculptures, two ponds, concrete and wire animals, and thriving wildlife. The area is …

We were asked by a local community group to come up with a planter at Feltham Station to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The result is full of red, white and blue plants, including some fabulous hydrangeas.

A bed of lavender. It might not look like much right now and wait and watch – this will soon be a hive of activity (excuse the pun). Thanks to TfL for letting this happen.
