Peterborough Railway Station, Cambridgeshire
Charlotte Pearson of Scarcroft School, York won a competition to design a bee-friendly sculpture for our planter at Peterborough. The result, produced by Amalgam Modelmaking, features holes for solitary bees to nest in.
Durham Railway Station, County Durham
We worked with Amalgam Modelmaking to produce a 1.8m tall observation hive in the booking hall at Durham. Bees were installed in May 2019 and, to date, and are being looked after by a local beekeeping group. To date, the bees are doing well.
